The Christian Life

No Longer I Who Live, But Christ Who Lives in Me

The Message of Salvation:

Moreover, brethren, I make known to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which you stand, through which also you are saved, since you hold fast to what word I preached to you, unless you believed without cause. For I delivered to you at first that which also I received, that Christ died on behalf of our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures – 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

Believe and you will be saved Acts 16:31

to them God desirously willed to make known what is the riches of the proper opinion of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of the proper opinion. Colossians 1:27

experientially knowing this, that our old man was co-crucified in order that the body of the sin [nature] should be rendered ineffective, so that we are no longer slaves to the sin [nature].  Romans 6:6

so that we no longer live the remaining time in the flesh by the desires of men but by desirous will of God. 1 Peter 4:2

I have been co-crucified with Christ. Indeed it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and that which I now live in flesh, I live in faith concerning the Son of God, the One who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf. Galatians 2:20

Eat Well, Live Well

Life is no only about the physical body, the spirit also needs to be fed

The human nature is made up of three parts; the body, the soul and the spirit. The soul is our emotional center, the spirit is our rational part, the flesh is our physical body. Living a healthy lifestyle involves caring for our whole being.

And may the God of peace Himself wholly sanctify you and guard your entire spirit, soul and body blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ – 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Contentment (Joy) in Any Situation

Not that according to need I speak, for I have learned in which I am to be content.  I intuitively know also to be humble. I intuitively know also to abound in all, and in all I am in a state of having been initiated; both to be satisfied and to hunger; both to prosper and to lack. I am strong in all things in Christ, the one empowering me. – Philippians 4:11-13 Joyful is being content in any situation. This comes from an understanding of who we are in Christ, and what type of relationship we now have with

Sharing the Gospel Message

Proclaiming the Message God has chosen to use proclaiming the message (heralding) of the Gospel as the means by which it is spread to the world. Therefore, how will they call upon whom they do not believe? And how will they believe whom they have not heard? And how will they hear apart from one proclaiming? Romans 10:14 For since by the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom does not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of proclaiming to save the ones believing, 1 Corinthians 1:21 The Importance of Proclaiming the Correct Message The Holy Spirit is

The Gospel of The Christ

Paul writes of the gospel of the Christ in the letter to the Romans in which he expresses the fact that he is not ashamed of the good news concerning the Christ. For I myself am not ashamed of the Gospel of the Christ for it is the inherent ability of God unto salvation to all the one’s believing, both Jew first and Gentile. Romans 1:16 One of the aspects of this Gospel is the message concerning salvation. We know exactly what is required for salvation because Paul reminded the Corinthians saints that the

Repentance – A Changing of the Mind

Using the wrong English words to define Greek words results in confusion and allows heresy a place. The word "repentance" is an English word used to translate a Greek word that often relates to sin and what we are to do with it; however, it conveys a meaning that is not expressed by the Greek word. Repent, in English, means to feel remorseful or sorry. The Greek word literally means, "to change your mind". It does not inherently have in its meaning a feeling of remorse or being sorry for your actions. Rather, it
