For who knows the mind of Christ? The one who is knit together with Him. Indeed, we have a quality of the mind of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 3:1

Thought for the day: Who are you in Christ?

What happens to the mind of a person when they become a Christian?

One of the affects of salvation is that the mind is now able to receive the things of God.

The relationship we have with God is spirit. Our spirit is our rational, logical part. Therefore, we relate to God not through emotions, but through logical, truthful understanding of Who He is and who we are in Christ.

Depression, discouragement, worry, and other mental issues are typically a result of a Christian not having their mind set on the correct things. We have received a new mind in Christ – A new way of thinking, understanding, interpreting life that understands things as they really are.

Are we focusing on the things of the world, or the things of God?

The world imposes a standard by which we can be happy that focuses on what we have. Yet in Christ, God provides us everything we need to be content in any situation.

The new mind focuses on the things of God bringing contentment. The old mind focuses on the things of the world seeking the desires of the eyes and flesh and pride of life, which will never be satisfied.

Since we can now understand the things of God. Let us focus on who we are in Christ and look at life from His perspective, being thankful for all He gives us.
