I can do all things in Christ Who strengthens me—Philippians 4:13.
Learning to be content in life is beneficial. Paul learned to be content both in poverty and in wealth; he discovered the secret of being hungry and of having plenty—of experiencing both abundance and need. The world system, designed by Satan to control the unsaved, seeks to keep people always searching and never satisfied. In Christ, however, the believer possesses all things and is therefore called to be content in this life with food and clothing. This contentment does not arise from our own strength; rather, it is the Holy Spirit who enables us, as Christ grants us the inherent ability to live a righteous and content life in every circumstance.
