Memory Verse

And I say to you, strongly desiring, I have strongly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer (Luke 22:15).

Last night, the final Passover that Christ would partake of with His disciples until the Kingdom of God is fully manifested had come. On this night, Christ would be betrayed and handed over to wicked men—men who claimed positions of religious authority and intellectual prominence among the people. At this Passover, Christ instituted what we now refer to as the Lord’s Table. It was at this time that He established the practice of partaking of the bread and the cup, which represent His body that all those who believe a part of and the new covenant under which we now live (Luke 22:17–19).
