Behold, I say to you a mystery. Not all of us will be caused to sleep, but we all will be changed in a moment, in twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will rise incorruptible and we will all be changed—1 Corinthians 15:51-52
Our happy hope—the coming of our God even Savior Jesus Christ (Titus 2:13)—will occur in a moment of indivisible time. The Lord will descend from heaven with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise. Then, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:15–17).
The removal of the Church from the earth will be a momentous event in our lives. We will cast off this body of corruption and put on incorruption. Nothing can hinder this from taking place, for in salvation, God has placed His seed within us. Therefore, let us live the remaining time we have in the flesh according to the desirous will of God, not pursuing the strong desires from this world, which always leads to destruction.
Take the time to know God's revealed desirous will so that you may discern it in each situation, examining what is good, and thereby act as a mature son who delights in working out righteousness.
