Future Events
The Rapture
The Rapture is the next event in the prophetic calendar (1 Corinthians 15:51-53). This is the snatching away of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). At the end of the Dispensation of Grace, the Church will be snatched away by Christ and presented before the Father 1 Thessalonians 3:13; Jude 24). At this time all believers who are a part of the Body of Christ will be resurrected and receive their full redemption (Spirit, soul and body). The believers that have not physically died at this time will pass over death and receive their resurrected body and the redemption of their soul with the believers that are resurrected from the dead (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17). This event may happen at any moment. The Scriptures do not elaborate on the exact time when this will happen, except for stating that it will be prior to the tribulation (2 Thessalonians 2:3).
The Tribulation Period
This is a seven-year period of time that follows the snatching away of the Church. During this time, the Dispensation of Law is judged, and the wrath of God is poured out upon the earth. This will fulfill the prophecy of the seventieth week in Daniel 9. The beginning of this time is marked by the signing of a seven-year covenant of peace with Israel (Daniel 9:37).
The Second Coming of Christ
Christ will physically return in judgment to the earth at the end of the Tribulation Period and set up His kingdom on earth for one thousand years (Revelation 19:11-21; 20:11-15).
Satan and the Fallen Angels
Satan will be bound for a thousand years at the beginning of the Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:2). Near the end of the Millennial Kingdom, he will be released for a season upon the earth (Revelation 20:3,7). He will stage a rebellion against God (Revelation 20:7-9). God will defeat him and he will be thrown into the lake of fire for eternity (Revelation 20:10). During the Millennial Kingdom, all fallen angels will be incarcerated in Tarsus. All fallen angels will be thrown into the lake of fire at the Great White Throne, at which time the saints of the dispensation of grace will judge all of them (Revelation 20:14; 1 Corinthians 6:3).
The Great White Throne
At the end of the thousand-year reign of Christ all unrighteous men will be judged before the Great White Throne. All unsaved men from all Dispensations will face final judgment at this time (Revelations 20:11-15). This will be the final judgment and all who are judged here are thrown into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-14). This judgment is only for unsaved humans and fallen spirit beings.
Heavens and the Earth
After the Thousand Year reign of Christ on earth, the heavens and the earth will be caused to pass away and a New Heavens and a New Earth will be created, where righteousness will settle down and feel at ease (Revelation 21:1; Isaiah 65:17; Isaiah 66:22; 2 Peter 3:13).
